I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It’s a courageous personal account of the Author’s life’s experiences and journals. The book shows how she has a willingness to dive deep into her emotional and painful past that had been unconsciously affecting her own psyche and personal relationships throughout her life. It’s a book about growth, healing and what it truly means to love oneself. Read this book carefully and methodically. There is so much wisdom and insight intertwined amongst the Author’s words and stories. Highly Recommend.

Everyone’s experiences are their own, however, so many of the feelings, beliefs, reactions Sandy expresses are all so familiar and applicable to my own experiences. She writes openly, honestly, with the hope that her journey will help you better understand your own. I realized I wasn’t the only one experiencing similar thoughts, feeling, and beliefs. This book is a great example of how to keep going and even though we’re not perfect, we can embrace who we are and accept ourselves. Thank you for sharing your stories in such a real, down to earth way.

Sandra Cooper captures everything, emotions, fears, challenges, tears, that so many of us felt as we grew up in the not so wealthy big Catholic family. An insightful reflection that has helped me understand more about myself as I read her story. I also came to learnings as she transitioned through child to adult and navigated our male dominated world whether military, sports, business, or relationships. A truly courageous journey, booth physically and emotionally and it times it helped me understand that spiritual doesn’t necessarily have to be only religious.

It’s a meandering road that benefits both from guidance and self exploration, trust and the willingness to take risks and requires faith and perseverance.
